My friend Gena is the Director of the sustainable agriculture program at Wingate University. Gena and her students started this adorable, and prolific, MICRO tomato plants from seed this spring. Blessed with an abundance, Gena shared some with me! A portion of all sales of these plants will be donated to her program. 
 
There are two options available for these seedlings - purchasing them as single plants for $5 or snagging them pre-planted, in a 3-gallon grow bag, where they can live through the summer. 
 
Micro tomatoes need full sun. And lots of water. 
 
About Micro Tomatoes: 
 
Oh hi, we're determinate tomato plants that are fully mature when we reach 12-18 INCHES. Yes, inches. We have super dark green leaves with little crinkles in them, and produce beautiful, red clusters of cherry tomatoes throughout the summer season. You can plant us in small pots, or grow bags. We only ask for 3 gallons of soil volume, and a little over a foot of spacing between one another. We make delicious centerpieces for your outdoor patio table, or a fun gift idea for the tomato lover in your life.
